It has been finally announced that a Wiley biopic is in the pipeline, which will go on to show his come up and rise to fame as one of the biggest pioneers that the Grime scene has ever witnessed.
Pulse Films and BMG will be fronting the project, while Adam Smith who directed the classic “Wot Do U Call It” will be taking on directing duties, telling Wiley’s story from a struggling bedroom producer to a real legendary figure in a industry he helped to create.
Wiley speaking on the news went onto say, “This is my life, my highs and lows, but it’s not really all about me. When I make music, help the scene or even do something like this, it’s like I’m not alone any more. It’s for people who grew up like me. I’m doing it to help people who are lost like me.”
Pulse’s Thomas Benski and Lucas Ochoa, A-List Management’s John Woolf, and BMG’s William Kennedy, Kathy Daum, Janaya Cowie, Wiley’s sister and Jamal Edwards will executive produce.
There’s no release date for the biopic yet, but stay tuned as its not one to miss! Listen to Wileys new album “Godfather 2” here
